Flexibility Training

Flexibility is needed on a daily basis. Stretching helps to improve your flexibility. Many people do not stretch enough even though we need our muscles to be at an optimal length to lessen the risk of injuries. These injuries may occur over time after years of low flexibility.

Flexibility affects every other fitness component . Here at Firm Fitness we assess your flexibility with a program designed for your needs.

Postural Assessment

If you have lower or upper back pain or imbalances that can cause pain, we will give you an assessment and get you back into action much sooner. It does not matter whether you are a professional athlete or not because we treat the cause and not the symptoms.

Post-Rehabilitation Techniques (shoulder/Knee)

When your knees or shoulders are bothering you and you want to get back onto the field, court, or just want to do your daily routines without the pain as soon as possible, we at Firm Fitness will give you an assessment and work with you. Each situation is different because each problem is different.

All of your pain can be relieved if you pay attention to your flexibility, posture and/or weight training issuess.

Pre- and Post-Natal Workouts

Yes, you can and you should! This should be said to all of you potential moms out there. Weight training is extremely important to get back to or keep your pre-pregnancy weight. If you haven't started training before you became pregnant, it's not too lage! Despite what some may say about training while you are pregnant, there is no reason why you shouldn't UNLESS told so by your doctor. The more muscle you put on your body, the sooner you can lose the baby weight.

You may not be able to go long, but you should go hard!

Weight Training

Proper form and technique are important in order to avoid injury. They also help you see greater improvements and gains in your training. We will assess your skill set and measure your progress. Whether you are trying to lose weight or you are having a hard time gaining size and muscles, we will help you reach your goals.

Plyometrics

Plyometrics can be fun , but it can be difficult. An assessment will be necessary to see if you body will be able to handle the amount of stress common with plyometics. You will understand how much body fat and calories at the end of a sesson when you look and see how much you are sweating.

Pilates
We have already discussed the importance of good flexibility. Pilates can be added to the start of a training session. Pilates can help get the smaller, assisting muscles warmed up and ready for you training.
In-Home Training
All services offered can be done in the privacy of the client's home using free weight systems and other portable equipment. This is a convenient service for those who may not be able to travel due to familial responsibilities, distance and/or physical limitations.
